Mantra is a singer/songwriter duo which member are Ari Ingolfosn and Michelle Nielsson.  They met each other in Isafjorour in the summer of 2014 and quickly found a common harmony in their musical passion so they started their collaboration in the fall.  Since then, they have held a few concerts in Reykjavik & Westfjords, performed on Blueberry days and Melodica Festival, both in Reykjavik & Paris, and will perform in Melodica Nottingham this summer.  In the beginning of 2016, they released the EP album, Songshine, which contains five original songs.  They have continued writing original material since, some of which will be premiered during Easter at Aldrei 2018.  Since, Ari had residence in Reykjavik & Michelle lives in Isafjorour, this has turned out to be a true cross-country-collaboration and their different backgrounds in music is reflected in their alternative approach to writing & performing their music.
