My name is Alexander Aron, born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland

My Sound is a simple structured country/ pop/ rock/ folk with emotional melody and lyrics that pull you into the story that's is being told.

I was influenced by many artists, sometimes it was that one song that would get me and I would listen to it over and over.

As a teen, I listened to bands like Jet Black Joe (Icelandic band), Aerosmith, Poison, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Hootie and the Blowfish, Radiohead, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, and lots more. Then, later on, I got more into country artists like Lonestar, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and more.

At the age of 11, I got my first acoustic guitar, i tried my best to learn how to play it but I, unfortunately, had less than no patience so I did not progress as I should have.

When I was about 16 my friends got me to sing one song with them at a local festival held in my neighborhood, that was my first and only performance for about 10 years.

At the age of 26, I made the decision after being pressured for a long time from friends and family to take part in a popular TV show "The IDOL" contest here in Iceland.

I thought if I ever want to be a singer and work as one I would have to do this to get over my fear of standing in front of people and sing.

To make a long story short I ended up placing 5th. This was the best thing I could have done and still to this day the most fun thing I have been a part of and I sure learned a lot from it and I got over most of my fear of performing.

After that from 2006-2008, I got to do a lot of shows and take part in projects that I loved doing and also got paid for doing it wasn´t so bad either.

As an artist I think my turning point was in 2008 when i got sponsored to record my own songs and do a 10 song CD, that was something I loved doing and an awesome feeling when you get to hear your songs on the radio for the first time.

From 2010 I have mostly been playing acoustic gigs in Reykjavik and all around Iceland, it´s been a full-time job for the last four years. I'm playing around 14-20 gigs per month so in a way I'm living the dream and getting paid for doing what I love to do. That is something that not everyone has the privilege of doing.
